Grammy Awards: il Rock è Foo Fighters – Tutti i vincitori

I Grammy awards consacrano i Foo Fighters come rock band dell’anno. La formazione di Dave Grohl si è infatti aggiudicata il premio nelle categorie miglior ablum rock “Wasting Lights”, miglior canzone rock “Walk”, miglior esibizione rock “Walk” e miglior esibizione Hard rock Metal “White Limo“. A onor del vero i Foo Fighters hanno fatto loro anche il premio per il Long Form Music Video “Foo Fighters: Back and Forth”.
Se i Foo Fighters sono stati i dominiatori assoluti della scena rock, per quanto riguarda l’edizione 2012 dei Grammy, regina incontrastata della serata è stata Adele. La cantante londinese ha di fatti sbaragliato la concorrenza. Niente premi per Lady Gaga. Adele si è infatti imposta in tutte le più importanti categorie pop: miglior disco dell’anno con Rolling In The Deep, miglior album con 21, miglior canzone con Rolling in the Deep, miglior performance pop con Someone Like You, Miglior Album Pop con 21, Miglior Video. Per quanto riguarda il rap, numerosi riconoscimenti per Kanye West.
La serata si è svolta nel ricordo di Whitney Houston scomparsa la scorsa notte. La cantante diventò, proprio sul palco dei Grammy, a soli 23 anni nel 1986 la regina del soul. Un ricordo anche per Amy Winehouse, vincitrice del premio per il miglior duo nella categoria pop, grazie alla sua performance con Tony Bennet in “Body and Soul”.
